Is the ‘Too Dangerous to Return’ Story Really True?”

When it comes to illegal immigration to Europe and the US, there’s a common justification I keep hearing:

“We can’t send people back because they face grave danger in their home countries.”

But I’ve watched thousands of travel vlogs from sub‑Saharan Africa and other regions, people are “fleeing”.

And all these travel bloggers talk about how warm, friendly, and welcoming the people are.

They eat the food, explore the towns, interact with locals, and talk about how safe and normal daily life feels.

I’m not saying these countries don’t have problems. Of course they do — economic challenges, governance issues, infrastructure gaps. That’s all true…

But if the claim is “grave danger everywhere,” the lived experience from so many travellers doesn’t match that narrative.

To me, that suggests the explanation being used to justify continuous inflows of people into Europe doesn’t always align with what you see on the ground.

Danger and instability exist in parts of the world, no question, but that’s no excuse to bombard our beautiful European cities with third-world migrants.
