The only good form of capitalism is free market capitalism.
No cronies.
No state capitalism.
No casino capitalism.
And (perhaps) not even monopoly-rigged capitalism.
Let’s break it down…
Free market capitalism means people trade freely. No backroom deals. No government handouts. Just value for value.
It rewards innovation, efficiency, and real demand.
That’s the version that works best.
Crony capitalism is when businesses succeed because of their connections, not their product. They lobby. They get favours. They block competition. It’s corruption, dressed up as policy.
State capitalism is when governments act like businesses (owning industries, controlling markets, etc). Efficiency dies. Incentives disappear. Everything slows down.
Casino capitalism is just speculation. Pump and dump. Crypto. Making money on money without building anything. It’s noise. And it drags real value creation down with it.
Monopolies? Perhaps not all bad. If you’re the best, and people keep choosing you freely, that’s fine (I think).
But when you use your size to block others, rig the game, or influence policy, that’s where it falls apart.
Free market capitalism isn’t perfect, but it is the best system we have.
It’s the cleanest shot we have at fairness, innovation, and real growth.
Everything else is just power games pretending to be economics.
