Macedonia should adopt a Bitcoin standard.
They can print the denar and start buying Bitcoin with the denar.
They’re small enough to pull this off and can become the first in Europe to pull it off.
I love Macedonia as it is, but they need to do something.
The status quo clearly isn’t working. In fact, they’re regressing.
And joining the EU isn’t going to be the answer either, I don’t think so.
The EU may bring some positives, but it will also bring with it increased dependence, more forced migration, and further degradation.
Also, the EU has been jerking around Macedonia for accession for 20 years now.
It changed its flag, its name, and whatever else. Enough is enough.
They suddenly have a golden-orange opportunity to turn it all around.
Give the middle finger to Brussels (and the Euro) and become self-sovereign once and forever.
Sovereign, digital, outside the old system.
Like El Salvador. They charted a new path forward through some very dark times.
It’s not easy, but it is doable.
